worse case scenario you just have to run a 1000rr switch/throttle housing, which look pretty cool

Just did this mod last week, BEST mod EVER!!!

I don't see why it wouldn't work on the OEM switch/throttle housing. I didn't feel like taking any chances, so I bought a used 1000RR throttle housing (a 600RR should work too), and a RC51 kill switch (would prefer an 08 1000RR one tho, because of the way tha cables exit the housing)

I used the OEM F4I throttle cables, and you will have to make TWO guide holes on the clip on; one for the new throttle housing, and one for the new kill switch.

This MOD is AWESOME, the bike feels like a new bike :icon_bike:

sooo anyone know for sure if it works with the f4i throttle housing?

If you decide to go that route, don't forget that you will also need the kill swtich. I spent less than $100 on the 1000RR throttle, RC51 kill switch, R6 throttle tube, 929RR radial master cylinder, and an ASV elbow for the 929RR master cylinder.

Well worth the money, well worth it :icon_wink:

thx knonfs..

i got a r1 radial master, lol but yea ill remember to pick up the extra stuff if i decide to do it... i have it all torn off currently so it wouldnt be hard

I put my f4i tube on my r1 and it was a simple swap. Dont see why it wouldnt work in reverse. It might depend on the years but I thought I read they were putting r1 tubes on r6 to give them faster response. Seems like you would want the r1 over the r6 tube. I went with the f4i tube on the r1 to slow response a little to make wheelies less twitchy.

Its the other way around, the R6 diameter is larger than the R1; and the R1 is larger than the F4I (or same, cant remeber which).

BTW - I installed the 929RR radial pump today, yaaay!

I dont know about the R6 as i dont have one. The r1 is larger than the f4i which allows less rotation of the wrist to open the throttle more hence quick response. The f4i cables slots set further in or closer to the inside of the tube requiring more rotation to get the same amount of valve opening.
