Default Quick Vortex Question, Installing Sliders now

Has anyone noticed that the right slider sticks out more than the left? I used the longer bolt on the right side with the wider base and the shorted on the left with the skinnier base. Is this normal?

Thanks,

thats how its supposed to go. it came w/ directions, dont'cha know haha, just giving you a hard time. but mine came from Vortex w/ a paper that said the longer slider went on the right.

my g/f ordered some vortex sliders for her bike and BOTH sliders stick out from the fairings the same. idk why, but i wish mine were like that. they arent the extended long *** ones, just the left is the same lenght off the fairing as the right one.

it's probably because the clutch cover sticks out more than the stator cover. remember that sliders are there to protect the frame and the hard parts (case covers), not the plastics.

ideally you want a slider that's as short as necessary because a longer one puts more bending stress on the frame/bike, and is more prone to catching and flipping the bike over in a slide (bad).
