Default quick question

hey guys, i have a 03 f4i with about 39k miles. ive been having trouble with it smelling like gas really strong from the exhaust and its getting worse.. i did a tune up on it hoping that would clear it up and changed the FPR and cleaned out the k&n air filter but to no avail. i know im past due getting the throttle bodies synced and valves adjusted.. i may throw a set of coils on it also. other than that i dont know much of what it could be.. i have an aftermarket slip on but thats it. any help will be appreciated.

How old is your battery? I had a similar issue with my Triumph last summer, it reeked of fuel and started slowly cutting out, first just a little nudge at a time to finally dropping to two cylinders when wrung up, a fresh battery cleared it right up.

You tested the coils and verified you needed replacement, or you just want to replace everything until it works again?
