Talking Questions

Hey what's up! just bought my first bike a couple days ago, 01 cbr f4i, just did oil, bled brakes and cleaned chain. I got couple of questions tho if you guys can help me out any input would be appreciated!

1. I got rust on my forks, the fork seals are still good, how do i go about getting rid of the rust before it hits my seal?

2. HIDs, i wanna get them to be more visible and see the road better. (I bought mine from SharpHIDs.com) Do you need to do any cutting or any changes? or is it simply plug and play?

3. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! RIDE SAFE!

Cant help with the HIDs, but for rust, get yourself some WD-40 and an "ultra fine" scrubby pad (the grey one, not green or red/brown). Get a big can, that sh*t is great for cleaning wheels, chain, swing arm, ect. ect. Plan on spending some more money over the winter, doing the rest of the PMs.

Hey there Caddylicious, congratulations on your new bike. For the surface rust on your forks I'd take WD-40, let it soak for a while, then use #0000 fine steel wool and remove the rust. This fine wool will not only remove the rust, but will polish the metal as well. Available at your local hardware store (cheap). Post some pics if/when you get the chance.
