I have a 04 600f4i, and I need to replace the front fairing. I went on colorrite.com and it says the yellow from the 2004 and 2002 are the same. Can anyone verify this? Does anyone know if the front fairing from a 02 will work on a 04? I was thinking about taking the black stickers off of the side fairings so it's all yellow, and putting the all yellow front fairing from a 02 on it. Then removing the yellow decals from the tank so it's all black and leaving the rear alone. Please post thoughts on this guys.

they fit fine color is the same too. only thing changed in those years is the tail section

Those on the tank may be cleared/lacquered in, I've seen some posts on their removal, that will pobably be your only headache in this. IMO I like a one color bike without stickers and such. Good luck and keep us posted.

 

Thanks guys that is all I needed to know. Now I just need to decide rather I want to do the split seat conversion(02 yellow tail). If I do that the tank would be repainted yellow, first the up 2 down 1 520 conversion go on. If I am happy with the performance, it gets the rear seat conversion.
