Default Question about seat cowl? DONE!!

I had some questions about my seat cowl. I am finally putting my bike back together after a wreck last year and I wanted to do it a little different. The seat cowl I got for my 01 F4i the first time around required different mounting hardware than the stock seat. Therefore putting the stock seat back on was a big pain in the ***. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, and what they did to fix it. I was thinking about trying to fabricate an extra set of seat hardware to work with the seat cowl so that way I could switch between the seat and cowl with ease. thanks for any help.

PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks everybody!

Does anybody have anything that might help me out. I would hate to have to pay a lot for fabrications.

The targa seat cowl, and the stock seat use different hardware to mount. I was wondering if anybody had ever modified their cowl to work with the stock seat mounting hardware.

I know what you are talking about as I have had the same thoughts.

I haveconsidered creating something would allow the Targa to attach similar to the way the original rear seat attaches but never got farther than daydreaming.

To those who don't have a Targa seat cowl: The cowl requires that you attach some hardware to the subframe crossmember that the original rear seat attaches to.
Therefore you can't just go back and forth between the original rear seat and the Targa cowl without removing the hardware. It is removable but is a pain to get aligned correctly so it is not a 5 minute job to re-install it.

You could buy a second rear seat, take the hooks off of it and attach them to the cowl.
