question about my totaled bike
hey guys i laid my bike down about a month ago. Its at the shop getting an estimate done. My question is if it is considered "totaled" should i buy the bike back? If i buy it should i fix it and keep it, fix it and sell it, part it out, sell it as is? Its an 04 f4i with 3900 miles. Things damaged are as follows: right plastic, plastic that goes around the seat, exhaust(stock), front fairing(headlights, windsheild), both mirrors, speedo, bracket for the speedo, right hand brake lever, tank has small dent, and some other minor stuff unless i forgot something. Frame, fork and tires are good.

RE: question about my totaled bike
From the damage that you mentioned you could easily spend over 500 bucks to get it back to where it was before the crash, and that is if you do all the work yourself, which isnt hard at all. Its really up to you if you want to much the time and effort into fixing it.

RE: question about my totaled bike
not sure yet. A guy i work with said he had the option of buying itback for 10% of what they gave him for the bike being totaled. I thinkthe claims guys is coming out today to look over the estimate. So i might find out today. If i get a good amount for it i'll be happy. I could have sold it for at least 5000...i think. There was nothing wrong with it before the accident. I'll see, i'm keeping my fingers crossed. If anybody wants it whole( as is) let me know. Or for parts.
