well i have 12.5k on my bike and i need a new chain. the prior owner said the sprokets were changed at some point both fron and rear but should i change them any way when i put a new chain on or judge it by ware which im not sure what it should look like maybe i can post some pics of ths sprocket monday. but its -1 on the front and i sorta want to go to stock.

how much is the oem chain and how much are the sprokets.

some one is leting me barrow a chain tool but ihave never used one are they hard to use ?

since you mentioned that the previous dude changed the sprockets, im gonna assume that they are still in ok condition. then again, i dont know how hard you ride; i think you had a good idea and judge them by the "apparent" wear. check out the manual, they have pics of what it should look like if its in bad condition..
for some reason i cant upload the image from the manual right now, but the manual does have images how to use the tool and spec for the lube.... have fun.
