Hi, I am just wondering about the Oil light on the dash on my 2001 CBR600F4I. I just got it, and am wondering if a flashing oil symbol on the screen before i start the bike is normal? The previous owner said that the bike had been sitting for a while, and a couple of things needed to be done as such - [Oil Change, normal , and im wondering if the fact that its been sitting correlates to the oil issues.

It's normal. There is no oil pressure when the bike isn't running.

If it remains on after it has been started, then you've got problems.
