Question about clutch cable adjustment

I posted this in the F4 section.. but since the F4i is almost identical with the clutch setup, I wanted to pick the brains of the "i" crowd as well.

My post is at https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f4-18/ok-guys-school-me-clutch-cable-adjustment-110722/

If anyone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.

Mods. I hope that this is okay to post as a redirect.. if not.. delete it and accept my apologies..

Well your ideas are correct. As is says in the manual if I remember it says to adjust your lever to .25" play? Which is ideal so your not dragging your clutch, or have is slightly open forcing it to slip. If your doing this, and your still slipping.. your clutch is worn, this isn't something your causing with your adjustments. But to correct just loosen the lower nut on your clutch cover giving your clutch more slack. But remember you can only go so far, so you are still able to pull your level and it release.
