Default Question about 600RR to F4i swingarm swap

I searched this and couldn't find anything so I was hoping someone could chime in if they had any info...

I recently picked up a complete set up from a 600RR and want to do the swap to my F4i. The question is, instead of making the spacers for the caliper bracket can you just use the 600RR rear wheel? I couldn't come up with a reason as to why this couldn't be done, but I haven't started the project yet and wanted to get info/opinions first.

Thanks,
Brian

yes you can use the rr wheel with the rr swingarm, caliper, n bracket. But its spacers you have to make for the axle to use the F4/i wheel. Which isnt hard either

Keep in mind you need a shock from a 1000RR instead of the 600RR shock too

you mean the RR dogbone/shock linkage?? If so then yes needs it too. Mines all 600RR etc the shock.

And I believe the 04-05 are the years that will work. After that the upper shock mount is cast into the swingarm. And you'll need to grind it some n flip it around.

the top shock mount actually works better on the 05+, u dont have to do any grinding bc its cast into the arm, but u have to make spacers for the adjusters-or u could run the rr wheel and axle and not have to make any spacers

umm you running the 1k shock with the res facing forward? I was told you wouldnt be able to with the new swingarms, thus needing a 04-05.

are there any real or noticeable benefits to the 600rr swingarm? is it lighter/better? and can you use an underseat exhaust with it?

I dont think its any lighter, def stronger, better design, and def looks better. You would still need to do other modes with the tail/undertail to do a undertail exhaust, but it would aloow you to route the mid pipe like the RR and not like some of the backyard jobs I've seen.

Oh yea and proper spool mounts, better rear shock w/ more adjustability

Great... That is what I figured, but from what I was reading on the swap everyone was making spacers to use the F4i wheel. I know it wouldn't be hard to do, but why not just make it a direct swap (so to speak)?
