Default Project before and after (pics)

Hey everyone,

Well here it is, I bought a used 01 F4i as a project and after a month, this is what it looks like. I have decals being made as we speak which will be carbon fiber with a thin silver outline and I also have a CCT on order, (that chain rattle is annoying!)

Thanks to everyone on this forum as I have done alot of searches and found alot of really great answers here.

When I got it...

And how it looks now...

So I dumped about a grand into it between parts & paint and had a ton of fun wrenching on it, (Other then the hangovers! )

Let me know what you think!

Love it. Add some reflective silver rim tape so you'll have a chance of being seen at night.
I've always liked rim tape on black bikes. Makes the wheels really stand out.

...and chop that under-tail down!

Hey, thanks for the nice words,

I used Dupont jet black basecoat with PPG high solids clear. Me and a buddy painted it, (me doing the grunt work, peeling those horrible stickers, sanding, and what not, the buddy doing the spraying.)

We also had to fab up a fairing mount as the guy that had it before me layed it down and rashed out the left side mount. For that we used a couple big washers along with a piece of tube, and used Kent chemweld 45 to stick it all together.

All in all it came out really good, and I agree, I may need something shiny on there so I have a chance at night lol.
