Problem After converting F4 to F4i
Hello everobody,
Recently I had an accident with my 99 Cbr F4, in fact, it was burnt till the very frame. To make long word short, I found trashed F4I with only front forks an frame damaged and swapped everything to my frame.Several days ago I had it started. it works fine, beside one problem. That is where I need your help.
When firing the engine it automatically revs up to 4 000 rpm and does not come back to normal idle setting (as far as I know F4i has automatic control of idle revs vs f4 wheer you could control it by hand).I stopped the engine by that time and then started it again. In second case it was stuck to 1500 rpms, it went up but never came back to normal.
Does anybody have any clue where should I be looking for the problem?
some relay? maybe coolant sensor? anything that you have in mind.
Thanks in advance for patience
Hope you will help me bring my baby back to life from ashes

could be a few issues... check for vac leaks... 4000 on start up is about 1000 high for cold start... and as someone stated after it gets warm you adjust your idle adjustment if you can't lock in on a target idle and you have no vac leaks try syncing the throttle bodies then if that doesn't help might need to crack the wax idler open ..... you have a service manual... i know i might be missing a couple other causes...someone else will come through with more to add
