Power Commander Question

Whats up guys,

I have an 01 F4i that is completely stock except for a slip on delkevic ds70 (shorter one). I was wondering if a power commander would make the bike any quicker or have any benefit at all.

Ive searched cbrforum, google, and videos on youtube and so far I have received mixed responses due to the different mods on bikes. Just trying to see what your guys thoughts would be for my situation.

As always, thanks for the help.

If you get someone to dyno tune it you may pick up 1-2 hp. That's all I got when mine was done but the smoothness of the throttle was 100% better.

If you want quicker and don't mind sacrificing some RPM change your sprockets to a -1, +2.

Ah, okay. Thanks Scott. Nah, I had a larger sprocket on the back, but I didn't like that I was loosing my top end speed so went down to stock.

If you want to add a signifigant amount of acceleration to the bike you are either going to spend many thousands of dollars, change the gearing, or slap on NOS/turbo. All of these options are bad IMO. As stated above the pc3 with dyno tuning helps throttle transitions but even with a full exhaust and air filter you won't be gaining more then 2-3hp.

Eh, I prob won't invest in a power commander then. Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it.

I feel the PC + custom dyno tune is a worthwhile the investment. You'll have a way smoother ride but it really depends where your priorities are since it's not cheap. If you're looking for significantly more power then your best bet is to look for a different bike.
IMO it's better to upgrade the rider first before moving to something more powerful.
