Default Please tell me I didn't buy a lemon!!!!!!!!

I just bought a used '01 cbr f4i today. I didn't go 30mi. until i noticed loss of power. It still continued to drive until I got to my exit, but soon cut off once idling. Since, I have had to give it considerable gas just to get home. There is a large amount of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe that reaks of gasoline. This bike only has 6k miles and i know it hasent been ridden often lately. I don't know if it's possibly a fuel injection problem or maybe even a spark plug dilemma. PLEASE help if you know what might be wrong.

white smoke for water. blue for oil, black for too rich.

it could be water in gas or blown heatgasket.

very suprised to hear this. How in the hell do you mess up a honda with only 6K miles? That bike had to have been beat to hell.

Sounds like water in the tank to me as well. Check for oil leaks on the engine, and then drain the tank and start fresh with some new gas.

Allright, so here is the deal. Apparantly 2 of the 4 fuel injectors were stuck wide open. Honda recommends replacing them as opposed to having them cleaned stating "cleaning them is only a temporary solution". Looks like this one is gonna end up in court. The original owner has yet to return numerous calls. Please learn from my mistake so you don't find yourself in this dilemma like me. Also, drive the dam thing. Get it out and often. Injected fuel is a good thing, but like any good thing it will have it's drawbacks. $560 worth. Thanks for all of the help and please feel free to continue to voice your opinions. I have been checking them periodically, but as you can understand i've been busy with other things when it came to replying.
