well today sucked i crashed my bike (01 f4i 10500 miles) riding alog and a guy changes lanes just as if i wasnt there i swerve not to hit him and hit a concrete post with my right side. the guy took off as if nothing happend. anyways my front side fairings are messed up and headlight is scraped and looks like i broke some tabs of it. well bike stared up drove kind of wierd,drove straight but stoped now it spins the engine but wont turn over. i got my oil light blinking and a red light left to the neutral light. talked to some people and they said i have to drain my oil out add a quart try to start it and then add oil to fill mark to clear some codes. i just had it in the shop and changed srpoket chain and cct in it so im kind of broke. please guys give me some ideas what i could do with it and what are my options. thanks in advance

do you hear the fuel pump prime prior to starting up?

if damage to the front cowl is bad enough, or if you hit hard enough, the bank angle sensor could've gone out of wack or is just dangling there.

 

Glad ur still here to have us try an help ya! If you had to add oil, is the case cracked and leakin? Like Tahoe stated Check your angle sensor to see it it popped loose. Also get some pics up. They help out alot.

 

thanks for the replys. is that sensor the one that is on the back of the headlight? fuel pump is priming its just not turning over. nothing cracked besides the front and right side fairing. i called the shop and he said bring it down to them but they charge 70 $ to diagnose and 80 /hour to fix. dont want to spent for now. ill try looking for the sensor and see if i can do something. thanks again fellas.

 

if the fuel pump primes then it's not the (that) sensor.

the solid light is oil pressure and it's right of neutral. the one to the right of neutral is MIL and it's blinking to give you a trouble code.
