Paint for my rearsets
What do you guys suggest for painting the OEM RearSets. I am looking to probably do some sort of rattle can and i want it to be black to match the frame. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks |
I thought about doing something similar to mine, but a good friend pointed out that if i rattle canned them, they would likely peel or chip due to the everyday contact your feet have on them.
He suggested maybe powder-coat or after-market anodized rear-sets. Just a heads up bud. |
Yeah i was trying to go the cheapest way possible =).... Probably will see if any one around does powder coating and see what it will cost.. I doubt its a lot for something so small...

Definitely powdercoat. Paint won't last, it'll cost you more in the long run to keep touching it up.
These guys did mine. $30 + cost to ship the rearsets to them will get you a good powdercoat. http://www.tripageled.com/PAGES/hondaother.htm |
I powdercoat and i did mine and i like it alot but i did mine gloss black but now i want the raw aluminum back because im getting ready to polish my frame and im going to polish the rearsets also. but i would say if you want it to look like the frame its called texture black.

powdercoat ftw.

I got my heal guards and under tail powder coated for $30. So just your rearsets wont cost you much and it wont peal after first use.

Im guessing flat black would match the frame better then gloss black?

Ohhh definitely go for flat black! Well, I just like flat black a lot a lot better : )
