Default Ordered new tires then it snows!

Ordered new M3's, front and rear last night. ThenI wake up and there are 2 new inches of snow. Will it ever end? I did manage to get 2 chilly half hour rides in this past week though. Talk about getting the itch and not being able to scratch.

On a side note,I installed hotbodies flush mounts and tightened them down but they still rotate if I physicall push them. I'm thinking to cut a thin piece of rubber to shape and put in under the blinker to give it some more frinction and prevent rotation. Anyone else encounter this?

on my f4i i never even used the nut that held it on. my flushmounts are held on with double sided tape (the kind that holds car molding on). Its really strong and wont come off unless you make it. I actually ripped the clear cover off the flushmounts trying to take them off of my upper and had to superglue it back on

wow simma we ordered the same tires haha. Idk where to go to install em, i went to international motorsports and got quoted 32$ per wheel off the bike. I might just do the tires myself then go somewhere to balance it idk

bluejay, how do you mount the tyres yourself? Don't you need the fitting machine?

Theres a couple videos on you tube on how to do it. The hardest part is probably breaking the bead. Get 3 tire irons, pull the tire up then go around, do the same to the bottom bead. Then to mount you slide the whole tire on one shot the bottom bead SHOULD go straight on. Use the tire irons and put the top bead on. Then line up the low point with the valve stem (usually the heavy part but probably not)

One does not need a tire machine to mount tires, however it makes the process infinitely easier if one does so. Then moving to an automatic tire changer speeds up the process even more (this is the ideal situation). I have a manual changer at home but when push comes to shove im too lazy to usethat and use the automatic one I have available to me at work. I've mounted tires with only tire irons and when a better way was presented to me I would never want to go back to using them. I'm all for working smarter, not harder.

Harbor Freight does sell a manual motorcycle changer for around 70 bux (need to buy the auto changer and then the moto attachment). Couple that with a No-Mar tire changing bar and you have a pretty good tire changing solotion for less than 200 bux. I opted that route since I go to the track probably every 2-3 months and burn through tires rather quickly that way.

Makes sense, funny I always thought a tyre changer costs much more.

Yea they do. You can spend 3-4k for a no scratch auto tire changer and 2k for a balancer.
