Hi all,

I noticed my 2001 600 oil light flashes when ignition is switched on and goes off when I start the engine.
Having just topped the oil up (on max level) I was just wondering why this may be flashing? Is it normal?

Its normal as long as it goes off when the engine starts.

 

Right out of the owners manual.

 

its completely fine until the light stays on while motor is running

 

Mine just started to do this too!! It was not doing this before so I am nervous that something is wrong with the oil pressure??

 

It should have always been this way, not sure why it would not have before. . .

Anyways there shouldn't be anything wrong unless it stays on.

 

I took my F4i for a ride this AM and noticed it too. I will be changing the oil soon as I just bought the bike a week ago.
