Oil checking...
Just a quick question on how do u check the oils level. A frined of mine says that the bike had to be help upright while on a leveled surface when checking the gauge for sufficient oil level. While i think that the bike should be left leaning on its sidestand on a leveled surface to get teh reading. I just dont see how they could require the person to held the bike and check that little *** gauge at the same time.
ANyone positive on whats the correct way?

well think about it.when the bike is upright the engine oil level is even thru out the engine case, if the bike is on the side stand it is leaning over and each side stand may be a little different like say if it were bent or so, giving a different reading. so read the oil level standing upright. or get you rear stand which is best anyway because you need to maintenance on the bike anyway.
In the manual it says up right, level ground...
That's awkward. Get a friend and some level ground. Get the oil level to where you want it - personally 3/4 the way up the window.
Put the bike on the stand. Mark the level next to the sight glass with a marker... this is the equivalent mark of 3/4 full.
You can't just measure on the swingarm stand without first checking that the level reported is the same as if it were on level ground not on the stand.
