I have an '06 F4i and have been riding it quite a bit lately due to the nice weather but, when it gets hot my bike marks it's spot! I noticed that it was gas that was dripping out of the vent tube at the bottom of the bike. I opened the gas cap and it stopped. Now I understand why it is doing this but what I want to know is this normal, I mean the spot it leaves is big not like it's just a little bit if gas, it's almost a steady drip.

What do you guys in the warmer climates do?

Mine doesn't leak at all and its been 90+ here for a week or two now

 

It only has happend when it gets close to 90 or so. Maybe I should just call the dealership and see what they say since it is still under warrenty?

 

i dont think this is a problem. this is common. you ride a bit or if your tank gets too hot then the pressure will force the gas to vent. hence, the reason why you have that tube to begin with.
most people dont even notice that they are leaking gas from the tube. i told my friend that i was leaking and he said that im exaggerating. the next day i come up to his(zx6r) and i see the same deal.
