when i release the clutch after shifting, i notice a strange noise which sounds like faint rattling or fluttering on my '02 f4i. could it be the cct or something else? thanks. also, do the '02's have a reserve switch? i havent had a chance to get a manual yet.

 

Yes. It could be almost anything from the clutch to the CCT to a rock sitting on the engine. Kind of difficult to diagnose over the web.

No Reserve. Only a "reserve indicator gauge". When the bars come on, get gas.

 

make sure you don't lug the bike. run up the rpm's a little and see if that helps, it could be pinging.
