o2 eliminator?

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys. I've bought my f4i that has the FI light come on few seconds after start and stays like that until I shut the bike off. The bike's rpm's increase right when the light comes on, which concerns me. The previous owner told me that it is because of the o2 sensor and told me that an o2 eliminator would fix the light. Anyway, I've looked for it online and found what it looks like. After that I've realized that it looks like what's on the picture. Can you guys advise me about this? I really want to get rid of that light.

this is what you're looking for, but I'm not sure it will solve the RPM increase you're talking about. Mine didn't do that.

If you changed your exhaust to one that does not have an O2 Sensor, then the FI Light will stay ON.
When I changed mine, I went and got the DynoJet O2 Sensor Eliminator for Honda (76423005) for $ 17.95.
Now, when I changed my exhaust I did notice that the RPM's did increase a little bit. I was told that this is normal because the ECU will tell the bike to run a little richer without the O2 Sensor and to only use 91 octane fuel until the bike gets tunned.
So, when I installed the O2 Sensor Eliminator I took it in and had the PCIII USB tunned and mapped.
Now the bike is running better than before.

To answer your question regarding the O2 Sensor Eliminator turning OFF the FI Light; Yes, it will turn it OFF. But your bike will run rich until you get it tunned.

So to fix your FI Light:
1. Get the O2 Sensor Eliminator Plug. Just like the one in your picture. Easy to install.
2. Until you get the bike tunned, use 91 octane fuel.
3. Get your bike tunned for the exhaust system that you have.

The o2 sensor eliminator plug that's pictured is on my bike already. Is there a way that it would be bad, because I get the FI light to come on?
Or perhaps I need to buy the PC3 to fix that? I can't afford the PC3 yet, so is there another way to tune the bike?

Take a look at 5-5 to 5-7 of the service manual and see if you can pull any codes to diagnose the reason why the FI light is ON.

i could not find anything about codes in the manual, but the previous owner said that i need to get an o2 sensor eliminator (which is the thing that's already installed on the bike).. hmmm.

UPDATE: so I was working on fixing the neutral light (which did not light up) and I came across the diode missing. After installing the diode the neutral light started to work and the FI light would only blink twice every 2 seconds. The manual tells me that the MAP sensor might be bad. is it hard to check?
