Sorry this might be a dumb question. But lately my 01 f4i has that FI red light on my gauge and my speedo reads 0. After a while my speedo come back but light will remain on until I turn off the bike then on again. And info would be greaty appreciated!!

 

How many long and short blinks?

 

FI means fuel injection. Its your check engine light.

 

I always thought that FI means Faulty Indicator

 

Doesn't blink at all just stays on until I cycle power on the bike. And to be technical the "FI" light. Is a malfunction indicator light. Per service manual. It said if It doesn't blink and motor runs fine it's a short in the MIL wire or ecu?

 

Are you putting it in dealer mode (search for that if you haven't)

Then let us know which code(s) it is throwing.

 

Hey man, you ever find out what the issue is? Mine is doing the same thing. No change in performance, the speedo just goes to 0 and the FI light comes on. Sometimes the speedo won't come back until I restart the bike a few times.
