Yep, i removed mine (2 on swing arm, 2 on chain gaurd)as soon as i purchased bike, used heat gun and some Wd40, be sure to take digital photo before hand, thats just me though, i have everything in a file on my computer

yea this just made me realize something about mine....

well i bought my bike from OH, i live in IN. i have to have an VIN inspection to get the title transfered but i jsut realized, where is the VIN on my bike?

look on the frame towards the front....its stamped on by the main steering stem....if i remember correctly...sitting on the bike...it should be on your right hand side....you might have to get off and lean in to see it, but it's there...

yea... then this sux... because the frame has been powder coated... so there is nothing there... is there any other way the VIN can be verified for the inspection?

still check the frame....even if it was powdered....if it ws thin, you might still be able to see the numbers....or if it was a smart powdercoater, he covered it so you can still see the vin...either way....the VIN SHOULDN"T be covered...any powdercoater should know to leave it visible...

ok. so its actually stamped into the metal? not just a metal type sticker, its like imprinted?

ok thanks. ill take a flashlight out there and see if you can still see it... man i hope you can... if not ill probably be havin a post up... saying "How to pass a VIN inspection with no VIN number on your bike..." haha

ok i found them. i was thinking it was bigger, and going horizontal for some reason but i see them going vertically, and theyre a lttle smaller than i thought. thanks for the help fingers
