Normal limit RPM to change gear
I wonder what is your normal limit RPM to change gears when are conmuting or normal use.
Mine is 6.000/7.000 usually, and yours ? ( My bike has only 1.200 miles from factory ) Thanks in advance |

RE: Normal limit RPM to change gear
yeah yeah, your power sits between 7-12 grand, why would you want to shift before that? if you are talking about a wide open road, with few to no cars around you and you are cruising around 75mph in 6th gear... i hear that. if you live somewhere that traffic rules like in seattle, then i recomend that you keep it in the power band man.

It is fun to shift when you are in the power. Bbut remember the quicker you accelerate in town, the quicker that left turning car comes at you! Be Careful Everyone!

RE: Normal limit RPM to change gear
i shift around 6k
i dont like the 2nd gear too much as its powerful and it makes my CCT vibrate the bike :D |
RE: Normal limit RPM to change gear
chilling, cruising 6K...track...dunno...everything is unplugged...in the twists...up there sometimes...other times...8K...other times 6K...depends what i'm doing...practicing to be smooth then i shift at lower RPMs.

regular commuting / street driving 6-7k
if i`m late for something 9k |
RE: Normal limit RPM to change gear
6K seems to be the magic number for me too when cruising around/commuting
