Noob with questions on a 01 f4i possible purchase...
#11
if it helps at all i bought a 01 F4i in august of 08 in upstate NY w/ just over 6000 mi for $3500 CASH. it was a not a dealership, but waving cash in someones face has an effect on just about everyone.
the best check I've heard was to check the front forks for microfractures from people doing weelies and slaming the bike down.

Well guys I am happy to say I bought it for $3500, I offered $3400 and they cam back at $3600 so I offered $3500 and they took it, one and only thing it needs soon is front brakes so hopefully those are not too expensive for some OEM pads. Had to drive it 20 miles home on the interstate and its a dream, looked down and I was doing 95 (felt like 50)! First mods I want to do is another pipe (its too quiet) and a new filter. These are way smoother than a cruiser. Here are some pics!
Anyone know where to get a owners manual AND full service manual for this bike? Also what oil do you guys run cause I want to change that out too....

Congrats on the purchase!
Great looking bike!
I just put on a Yoshi TRS SS slip-on pipe on my F4i and it sounds terrific, just a recommendation now that you are in the market for pipes.
Here's a few pics of it and some sound clips before and after

As for oil I use Honda oil and honda filters. Work fine.
And about the manual, found a link, here you go PDF format for CBR F4i
