I replaced my CCTL with OEM a couple months ago also and it wasn't too bad... it was definitely worth not paying the dealer to do it. the part is only $50 and the shops want to charge around $200 to replace it. The reason i went with OEM is because even if you have an APE tensioner, i believe you still have to adjust it from time to time, and i didn't want to accidentally set the wrong tension and screw something up. Anyway.. it is definitely worth doing, after you take the tank and side fairing off its right there under the frame. The only reason it sucks so bad is because there is so little room to work.

i got 60k out of my oem cct...it was on an f3 but same part

And don't take the OEM CCTL apart, it never goes back together the same

Old one had 2 black
New one had 2 blue
