Noise when pulling out
 

Hey all i went on a decent ride for about an hour down the interstate for about an hour. Went to hang with a buddy. On my way home when i stated pulling out from a stop sign i started to notice a little bit of a click or even a mild clucking when i pulling out from a dead stop. I think i may even be noticing a bit of a scraping noise when i driving down the road(may be just looking for it) What do you guys think

is that noise followed by an O face? lmao, just playin. Have you cleaned the chain recently? I had a clunk from a dead stop and found out it was the chain of all things. Took me forever to narrow that one down. Could be alot of different things with all the moving parts on a bike. Thats just my experience and .02

lol funny. Well its getting inspected on tuesday so i guess ill let them take care of lubing the chain. I dont know a whole lot about bikes other than what i read here. It runs and drives just fine even with the noise.

haha. I clicked on this only out of perversion as well. And you said it was almosy like "clucking". Did you run over a duck? Lolol. If i had to guess i'd say chain too.

Had the same problem after riding 400 miles the other day in a light mist chain stretched and got really dirty so i cleaned and tightened the chain and she's good as new. Willing to bet that's your problem.

how do you go about tightning a chain. I see where the adjuster is. are there any write ups on how to properly tighten a chain. Its getting inspected this tuesday. Should i just have them do it.

I had to get in on this thread just because of the title. See, your title does matter on forums!

Great job with pictures and descriptions for the link.^. However, I think I'll inspect mine, then take it to the dealer. I'm comfortable doing something, IF i know what I'm doing. That's a little to much of a risk to screw that up.
