Default No power from Idle to 12,000RPM

Hey guys and girls. Im new to this forum. Ive had my 2001 F4i since 2002 I got it with 2,596 miles on it. I now has just over 50,000. THATS NOT A TYPE-O 50,000 Miles ona everything stock but-chain,sprokets,brakes,spark plugs, and a clutch cable.I also dont take iteasy on the bike.probably close to 30,000 of those miles are onone wheel (the front or the back)
Anyways. The bike hasHad the stock CCTL for all those miles.Recently I was riding along when the noise stoped and a new noise started it sounds like the cam chain is riding on something, like a draging noise. And now the bike has no power from idle to about 12,000RPM but from 12,000 to redline it feels normal. After the problem occured I swaped out the stock CCTL for the APE manual model, And it didnt change anything.what do you think? I have a feeling im going to be alone here due to the milage on the motor. Any help ideas you got would be greatly appriceated

Nah you're not alone on the mileage..... turned 50k on my '04 F4i back in 2006. Now currently at 133,500 miles and still going strong... all original motor! (and clutch too!)

But to answer your question... it sounds like the CCT took a dump to me, and the chain is either too tight or way too loose. I had this happen on mine one time, it sounded horrific. Also happened on a buddies 954RR too... CCT both times. I would highly recommend an APE manual tensioner... never have to worry about it again. I wouldn't ride it until it's fixed.... it's not hard to wear out your timing chain guides with improper tension on the chain [&:]

If my calculations are correct you put on about 7900 a year. So that mean's you rode almost 4yrs on one wheel. That's just amazing! Hand's down! Tell me how you do it!

It's possible the chain could have jumped a tooth too. You're sure you got the APE tensioner adjusted properly??

Isn't that .57 miles every hour, of every day, for 6 years?

CCTL failed>chain loosend enough to set the intake cam back one tooth>top chain guide broke off and was getting eaten by the chain. Problem solved.
