Next Project: Stainless Brake Lines
 

2002 F4i with the original rubber brake lines. I'm thinking that with my next fluid flush I will change over to stainless lines primarily for peace of mind and a little bling.

It seems that the general consensus is to go with the two line setup for the front. Searching finds Spiegler, Goodridge, and Galfer as the most common brands, any recommendations between these or another? Do the "kits" come with the longer bango bolt for the reservoir or is this an additional purchase? TIA

When I bought my bike, the previous owner gave me a box with a handful of goodies ranging from OEM honda oil/filter, to the stock pegs, FSM, and flush mount LED signals to name some of the items.. I was going through the box on Monday and noticed a brand new SS brake line still in the packaging. I also want to install this once I have replaced all the plastics and engine covers this spring.


Hope someone can chime in with advice or tips

I got the Goodrich kit several years ago. Came with all the new banjo bolts and new sealing washers. At the time Goodrich was the cheapest name brand kit I could find. Now there a lots more options for line color and banjo color for some added bling and more brands to choose from as well

It comes with all needed things to install. Yes to two lines, and brand is just a preference in this case.

After additional searching/comparing it looks like Spiegler. I like the ability to rotate the line on the banjo for the ideal alignment. They also offer color choices, but this is not a consideration as I like the natural stainless finish. Thanks to all who contributed.

Yes correct. Spiegler i beleive is the only brand that allows the fitting to spin 360 degress as to make for the cleanest/most ideal fit.

Ive been waiting for my front 2 line kit and rear peice forever. I ordered it through a local dealer and its been 4 weeks now. Apparently Speigler are way behind. I also live in Canada which im sure doesnt help.

Finally (6 weeks later) : New Spiegler Lines - Motul RBF600 Fluid - EBC Pads all the way around. Feels excellent.

Nice work. I'm still working on making my bike purdy. Once all that is done, I'll probably end up installing the SS line I have sitting in the garage

So what made you go with the dedicated each front line setup versus any other setup? Just picking your brain since I've been considering doing this as well
