What's up guys new member from 5280'. Bought my F4I about 2 years ago and have been loving it since. She does have her quirks and annoyances tho, but those can be dealt with
Bought her with about 2500 miles and she's now close to 9000. Have had a few close encounters along the way and also lots of good rides as well through the twistys of the rockies.

She was originally black on red when i bought her. The previous owner had tried to remove some of the decals and failed miserably ie. tried using a razor blade to sorta scape them off and pretty much just F'ed the paint doing so. He had also installed some cheap frame sliders that dug themselves into the plastics when i slide on some gravel turning into the driveway. Well with me being a perfectionist and the turn of winter coming i decide to give her my own touch

The mod bug hit me good on this one. Along the way i kept finding other things people had done to their bike and i had to follow. It got to the point where i wasn't sure i would finish everything before riding season

Well here she is now

Pretty much all the work was done by me. Removing the remaining decals, sanding, priming, tapping, and base coat done in my basement or at work. I learned a lot along the way and certainly had to do a few things twice. I had a experienced painter\ friend of mine apply the clear coat for me (which is supposed to be a flat clear but came out more satin\ glossier than expected). Overall I'm happy tho but would never do it again haha.

I also installed Shogun frame sliders, eBay mirrors, bar ends, DDM 6K HID's and race gas cap:

Pulled all the silver bits, sand blasted, and had powercoated flat black. Picked them up and installed brake and turn signal leds in the rear pegs:

And swapped to white leds in the cluster:
