New Two Brothers Exhaust

I bought my brother a two brothers exhaust for his f4i for Christmas and we just installed her tonight. I have a couple questions to anyone who has a similar setup.
It works well but I have two issues we need to sort out. Where the arrow is it seems like its not the tightest fit and if you shake the exhaust it will wobble around on the part where it meets the pipe. I feel like this should be a much tighter fit. Is there a way I can get this tighter? Also to mount the pipe we had to remove the passenger foot peg. Is there a decent way we can rig it back up so we can have the passenger foot peg back?
The picture is not my brothers bike but its set up exactly the same.
Thanks in advance.

For the passenger peg bracket you would need to fabricate some spacers. If you look at the back of my bike here you can see i spaced out the peg bracket from the subframe. My set up is using a different mid pipe but you get the idea. For the spacers i used aluminum bar stock cut to length and drilled the center out on a drill press. Then machined the ends flat.

I was thinking about the spacers idea. Would you think it would be a good idea to add the same length spacers to the left side of the bike as well? equal out the passenger foot weight kinda thing or is that not a problem at all? Did you have a problem with the exhaust fitting kind of loosely to the pipe? I might have to buy some steel putty or something to take away some of the play that it has

I did not space out the left side nor did I want to. If you ride with a passenger a lot and they feel uncomfortable not having the same foot placement to go for it.

I have no problems with my mid pipe and muffler fit up. If anything it's in the tight side. I did use some high temp silicone specified for exhaust use. May try that. The steel putty may make the bike unserviceable should you ever need to take the pipe off

Ok that makes sense I will get the exhaust silicone. and thanks for the advice
