New tire came...plan on strapping it to backpack and riding bike to shop saturday...
 
any other ideas ..has anyone ever done this before. I would ask for a friend to bring the tire for me but that isnt going to happen at this time. Im getting picked up at the shop by brother who lives an hour away. all suggestions welcome

I'm strap it to the rear seat. Or just wear it around your waist. Equally as awesome.

Lol, I had a similar dilemma a while back, only I needed to take both front and rear tire to the shop to be mounted.

I HAD to have a buddy of mine take em in his car and give me a hand with my shinkos lol!
Otherwise I would have looked like the Michelin Man lol

I mounted my own tires...with DUCT TAPE. It was surprisingly simple. Used a floor jack, 2X4 and the joist on my deck to break the bead.

I'd say throw it on the tail, or like what you are planning on - backpack.

It's a bit of an understatement to say your options are limited, haha.

another vote for strapping it ot the back of the bike. i've put a box with a wheel and tire on the back of mine before, just used my bungy net around it and it was fine.
