Default New to site - Need some HID clarification

Hi all,

I've been doing a few searches and looked at some threads here about the HID kits.

Seems the norm. is to go with the DDMtuning kit, which is resonably priced, and H7 Bulbs, 35w kit.

Question I have, I hate the 1 headling on for low beam and then both on only for HI beams.

If I order the Dual HID kit from DDM tuning, with the 2 bulbs and 2 ballasts, will this kit allow me to run BOTH low beam HID lights on at the same time, and then BOTH Hi beam lights as well?

Also will you have to adjust the headlight reflector that is normally for the Hi Beam? If so I'm guessing this will eliminate the Hi Beam from functioning correctly?

Couldn't seem to find that info from the posts.

Thanks for your help.

First Welcome To The Forum

Second lol use the search button a lil man... topics been beat to death and beyond...

The only difference between ur high and low beam is the beaming angle... its not a complicated process to wire both to turn on at the same time you could even wire them to your high beam switch and make is so you can turn both on and off...

This will not work unless you rewire your headlights to do so. Additionally that means that you will be blinding people all the time at night. The reason for that is the shape of the optics for the high beam. The reflector that is there is not adjustable that I am aware of.

I have the DDMtuning kit in my 02 F4i, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made.

XD cycle has a projector kit that allows the change in operation, I was just wondering if the DDMtuning kit changed their operation as well, from the replies here sounds like it doesn't.

Looking for something more along these lines:

http://www.xdcycle.com/discount-moto...Projector.html

above kit states - "
Q: Will my headlight functions change after installing Projector Lights?
A: Yes and no. Those bikes that use one headlight beam for low beam and both shine for high beam... will now have both shine for low beam and also both shine for high beam. Those bikes that already use both lights for low and high beam, the functions will not change, except for a much brighter light and with CCFL Halo lights."

I am guessing this kit would do the same as well for a bit cheaper...

Thanks.
