Default new to site...hello

To start i love this forum. i just bought a 2001 cbr 600 f4i with 12k on it for only a grand! it needs a fuel pump which is on the way. the guy just gave up riding it after he dropped it and it sat for two years. it has a dent on the left side gas tank and has a one seat plastic set. (cheap) just trying to find where i can get cheap unpainted stock plastics and i also need the rear peg mounts for the passenger because the bracket that holds those is gone on the left side. this is my first bike and i plan to take it easy and take the pa state riding test to get my license. i hope to get comfortable enough to go out on rides with other riders. Anyone live near the Horsham PA area?
Thanks

Welcome to CBRF.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on the bike. Since it sat so long, i would change every fluid. Check and clean the air too.

Yea I stopped in at redline motorsports and bought every fluid, changing oil today and hopefully the fuel pump will come in tomorrow. I do need some info on how to do the brake fluid change... Is it just like a car gravity bleed?

Hey welcome to the site, with the dual brakes in the front a vacuum bleeder makes it ALOT easier to change the fluid, but it's not too hard to do.
