hey i was reading about the new power commander V and its like 1/2 the size and has more features will it work on a 2002 f4i?

I don't think so. Maybe on the CA model. The thing is that it uses an O2 sensor to auto-tune and only the CA model has the O2 sensor. I suppose you could get one installed but i don't think it would be worth it.

oh well i guess its pcIII then...

PC3 USB is the way to go.

i think the newer pc isn't currently available for any past models

Not actually knowing what they are, it seems that they improve performance somehow; how, I don't know but my question is: Can they be use for everyday/commuter travel, or, are they strictly used if you plan on trackdays?

All its for is remapping your bike change the fuel curve bla bla bla. but yes you can its just like rejetting your bike if it was carbureted. my bike is my DD and i run it with the accel pump on street with a little tweek so its lust a little easyer to bring the front up.
