then why did you mess with the o2 sensor? Slip on slips right on, you shouldn't have unplugged anything electrical. If it's not starting it has nothing to do with the pipe.

I think he meant that the o2 sensor is now screwed into the new slip on. It won't flood because of the FI. Is your side stand down while in gear when you're trying to start it? Is the starter turning? Need more specifics.

thanks for the insite....I called Honda and they said that something is unplugged......the bike always kicks right over.....now it is trying really hard and I can smell the gas..... The new pipe is installed corectly with the O2 sensor in the mid pipe (like stock) my only guess is that I pulled the O2 sensor a little to hard and the other end has dislodged.....it is a tight fit on the stock pipe and was hard to get the sensor seated properly without any slack in lines. The starter is turning over and it really wants to start...I think Iam going to remove the fairings and see what I can find....thanks for replies

On my TL1000R I can bridge a connection on a connector on the wiring harness and put the bike into "dealer mode". Then if there is a fault, a diagnostic code appears on the gauge display. I bet if you could do this for your bike, you could tell if the o2 sensor is your problem or not. If you search on this forum you can find a link to download the service manual for your bike. Then it'll tell you where the dealer mode connector is and give you a key to all the error codes.

GOT IT..........I finally got the problem fixed. As it turns out I fouled the plugs starting the bike without the midpipe or anypipe attached. Really sounds good but........F4i didnt like it. one of the plugs was gummy so I changed all four. now good as new. she started a little rough but could be expected with being flooded from me trying to start the bike so much. thanks for the feedback NOW if it ever stops storming I will be off
