Play-Doh method?
Basic procedure: Remove side fairings. Install frame slider base. Install FS bolt so that it is long enough to reach the side fairing. Stick Play-Doh on inside of fairing. Bolt makes an indentation when fairing is re-attached (some but not all body bolts req'd). Remove fairing and drill pilot hole in center of indentation. Use 1-3/4" Hole saw to cut fairing. Slow speed on the drill, but press quickly and precisely. Use hole saw from Outside-in. Reinstall. Done. I have ZERO gap using this method. Take youre time. It's inexpensive, and you're left over with a hole saw that you may never use again (how many times have I said that before).

Devlzluv, good job, any uneven spacing isn't evident in the pics. If like woogie you can only get grommets in bulk PM me and I'll buy some from you.

Woogie. Thanks for the link. I don't suppose you have any of those grommets left? They definitely give a finished look. I always thought they came with the sliders. There's my something new for today.

Jaybird. I had a feelling it was smething like that. Back when Iwas in school I spent my summers working for a renovation company. An older German guy used to outline electical boxes with a lipstick to mark the back of a sheet of drywall. Until that day I had always wondered why there was a lipstick in his tool pouch.

Yup, I've got a few left. I think I had to buy 20 or 25. I'll sell 'em for what they cost plus shipping. Should be around $2 each plus shipping, if you want.

I use and endorse the Play-Doh method.
I think that is the method I will use if/when I install sliders. By the way Devl, the install does look good and I love the color scheme too ( I got the same one). Good work!
