Default New here. Got a few questions.

My son just bought an 04 CBR 600F4i. (this is his 2nd bike. He's 19)
7700 miles. Seems to run good. Several minor cosmetic issues but looks like it's all fixable.

The previous owner installed an aftermarket tail light/fender kit. Two 2" dia LED looks like on a carbon fiber shell. Brake light and blinker seem to work ok but no running (tail) light. After a few minutes with a volt meter we found what we think is the correct wire and made the appropriate connection.

Does anyone have idea how I can get a wiring diagram for this bike?

Also one of the OEM mirrors has been replaced with a dorking looking aftermarket mirror. Can you suggest a good replacement mirror.

Also are there any know issues with this bike I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Bill

Here's a downloadable version of the service manual (with schematics): LINK. It's for '01-'03 but I believe it's identical to the '04.
With the mirrors, you can buy OEM (new or used) on e-Bay for like $15.
Down the line (10K-20K miles), you may begin to hear a rattle from the engine, that's the cam chain tensioner lifter (CCTL) which will need replacing. Easy fix.
Do you ride bikes too?

Thanks a bunch.
Yes I ride too. Have done so for almost 30 years.
I sold my bike last year to make the down payment on a 5th wheel.
I've owned a Honda GL500 Silverwing, Suzuki GS 650L, Honda 250 custom, Suzuki 650 GS, and the last bike was an 2004 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic.

The "Crotch Rocket" scene is new to me but so far I have enjoyed it.

HA^ he said crotch rocket. Made me smile. I found some on Xtreme Discount Cycle. They're really flush, and look super clean. I'm debating picking up a pair. Pig something or other. And a problem that other people have noticed, trans sometimes has a tough time shifting, seems to be sporadic though. Just to watch out for.

The CCTL is a common thing, and while it won't do any damage to the bike (unless it's really bad or you let it go for a LONG time), it will be annoying.

Your other two issues seemed to have been worked out by others, if you want more info someone can provide some more specific stuff.

And welcome
