New helmet suggestions
i currently have a ****ty helm that my friend gave me awhile ago. doesnt really fit too snug and it's kinda old lol. looking to start searching for a new helmet any suggestions or input on helmets you guys got and like a lot. Not looking to spend a ton of this either. Just a decent helm.
thanks |
I really like my bell apex... cost around $200 bucks (thats about a average price for a good helmet)... no matter what helmet u get make sure its SNELL AND DOT approved...

Got my Fulmer D4 Apache from a local dealer for $150 because i needed it THAT DAY. Fulmers are hard to find parts for so i always order them direct from them on their site and the stuff is cheap.
Shields (Any color)- 20$ New head/cheek pads - 25$ New mounting clips - 6$ a set. http://www.scootershop.com/catalog/i..._52A_Large.jpg I must of tried on a hundred helmets and the Fulmers and Shoeis were the to most comfortable. I hated every ICON helmet i tried on, in every size. They havce cool designs but horribly uncomfortable IMO. |

Also the paint on my helmet is a metallic/pealish paint... changes colors in the sun and has a silver metallic flake |
I'd take a look at the scorpion helmets, too. For about $100 shipped for an EXO400, they are a heck of a nice helmet.

I too used a bell apex for about a year. It dosen't flow well and it shook your head around a little above 120 or above about 90 with a passenger [it was just slightly large on me though which helped]. Other then that it was a good helmet. I now have the bell star. They don't fit everyones head shape but if you do its one of the best there is. Amazing flow, no wind buffeting. A bit noisey but otherwise fantastic. I got it onsale for $250 :)
