Midland BT2's in wifey-poo's and my helmets. They do phone, intercom and analog or blue-tooth stereo.

THAT'S COOl, BUT COULD YOU PLEASE TURN DOWN THE MUSIC? I CAN BARELY HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING.

I just got a Scala G4 for my helmet - Bluetooth mp3 , radio , phone etc.

I had a ipod nano / speaker set up before that worked real well.

Those are some really nice systems.

I just have some skullcandy headphones hooked into my phone, streaming music off my home PC with audiogalaxy. No mic (or easy control system) so I can't use my phone. Not that I'd really want to...

I only use skull candy headphones. They give me music and also act as ear plugs to tone down the wind noise.

MP3 player in jacket pocket w/ Skullcandy earbuds.

I own four pair of in-ear headphones. I have tried all 4 under my helmet and believe it or not, the cheapest set performs the best.

Amazon.com: MEElectronics M6-CL Sport Sound-Isolating In-Ear Headphones for iPod, iPhone, MP3/CD/DVD Players (Clear): Electronics

These fit deep into my ear and block out ALL noise. They also are flush with the side of my head, so putting my helmet on does not dislodge them. Nothing worse than trying to sneak a finger in between your helmet and your head to adjust your earbuds!

I use them with an iPod touch, and with the volume at about 60% it drowns out entirely any noise from my baffless exhaust which is EAR BLEEDING loud with them in! I honestly cannot say enough good things about these earphones for this application.

If you want good cheap all around earphone the best bang for thw buck I have found are the Altec Lansing UHP-336 which I paid $35 for but they are $50 now. I would gladly pay the $50 if I had to replace them.

My setup: Bluetooth 2.0 transmitter that plugs into my ipod's dock connector, a bluetooth 2.0 receiver (Bluetooth less than v2 sucks for music), a Fiio E5 headphone amp and Tork X-Pro helmet speakers. Just waiting impatiently for the X-Pros to arrive.

mikeyg2487 06-10-2011 08:59 PM

glad to see some1 else is running tork speakers and a fiio e5 amp.

Red_Eye 06-10-2011 09:25 PM

Fiio is awesome, has to be among the best bang for the buck products ever. Less than $20 shipped, but looks and sounds like it cost 5 times that.

I was looking up those tork speakers and it says its only for half face helmets? Any reason why this is? I just use my ipod and some ear buds right now but it gets uncomfortable trying to wedge them into my helmet and those looked nice like they just sit in there

No it doesn't.

i have yurbuds, they are designed for working out. they do not slip out of your ear very easily. Only issue i have is i like my music loud and idling at a stop can be too loud after riding on the high way.

Id be interested to see how everyone has their mp3/cell phone/ gps mounted. I usually just stick my phone in my pocket and if im running gps the voice talks over the music. Ive considered making a mount for my phone. Any thoughts?

here is the link to those head phones. best in the ear style i have EVER had!

I have the torq pro, and the E5. It works well, however, i wish they got a little louder, however... When I am not on the bike, they are very loud. So any louder would probably cause hearing loss lol... I have a Shoei rf1100 helmet. That setup is usually fine to say 70mph max, then it is mainly wind, and sometimes hearing music.
