Default New Fairings and other goodies YAY. PICS.

Well I bought this baby Yellow and Black but the previous owner had did some damage to the plastics in a low speed (Oh chit I fell) accident. Also The retard broke the rear Fairing with The Seat after changing the battery...

So Anyway I decided to get some new plastics, and since OEM is WAY overpriced I Purchased some from the vendor Acutmarts1 on EBay, many of you have heard of them before. Well I'm here to tell you all about how things went down with this purchase.

So Here is a Picture of how she was before :

Well I Purchase my New Red/White Fairings ( OEM Lookalike ) and About 3 weeks later the mailman brings in this huge *** box. I open it and everything is looking good until i get to the last piece, the front fairing...

To my amazement there is a Blue/Gold Konica Minolta Race fairing in there instead of the one I purchased. Well to make a long story short, 1 phone call, 49 E-Mails and 2 months later I get the correct front. (Thank God it was winter).

The Paint was pretty good (looked better than stock, but chips easy and some clear runs)

I had to drill out a few holes and everything was tighter and less flexable than stock but fit well. The new plastics were a bit thicker than OEM so thoes chitty black pop fairing pins couldn't be use again ( I just used bolts and lock nuts )

I did use a reflective heat product on the inside of the fairings, it was Reflect-A-Cool.

I had some weird EBay under tail so I painted that black and rewired it so my lights would work ( not the best but no one sees it anyway ). I also had to get Licence plate Bolt lights to make it legal from EBay for a few bucks.

The tip of the undertail bounced up and down so I had to put some foam ( an old HD seat ) up in there to stop it.

Grabbed a Few extra goodies such as Hotbodies flush mount blinkers, Pro Bolt Bar ends and Wind screen screws and some red Harris CBR grips ( when I bought it it had 2 different bar ends on it and yellow grips )

Carbon Fiber Two Brothers exhaust... love it. the tard before did not mount the midpipe right so it was bashing into the swingarm every time you hit a bump.

I had the Tank painted by a local bike shop in the southern Maine Area and put Replicals tank wings on it, they match pretty good but i messed up the right side but you cant tell to much... hard to not get bubbles on a rounded tank.

Wow, that looks great! Congrats on the new fairings.

Did you ask for a white front fender though? Because the original color should be red, I just spotted that.

Sweet motorbike all-round.

I did not ask for that and actually did not even notice until i got them it was white, but i like it better white the red front fender seemed out of place to me like the red started to high on the bike. the red rim tape commin in tomorrow will set it off and make it pop just right.

I got the whole set for $540 shipped. I thought I was gonna sell the yellow set and get some money back but they are pretty chewed up in some spots. I might keep em or sell (might fix them up and paint them).

if you contact the seller on ebay you can tell them what you need and work out a pretty good deal with them. I think i had a very rare mishap where some fairings got mixed up.

forgot to all too, yall might see the mud on my tires (they were worse) got it stuck in the mud in my backyard the other day XD .
