hey everyone i am new to the whole motorcycle thing, due to the fact im only 18 and my dad made me wait until i was a legal"adult" to get a bike. i have been riding motocross/atvs my whole life and just got my first sport bike. it is a sweet looking 2001 CBR F4i the white/red color scheme that came with a few goodies. it has a new undertail kit, new DnD exsaust or somethin like that. and i think that is it. the bike has enough power to learn my basic riding skill. we all know i have to learn to walk before i can run but while im walking i really want to pimp this thing out, mostly for the ladies just some cheap cosmetic stuff will make me happy, but i dont know what will look the bestor what i should buy. so any help would be awesome.

p.s. i am happy to join the street bike family and if anyone in san diego wants to ride with me let me know and we can go!!!

 

intergrated led tail light is hot.
if you want something for the ladies then get a nice small size full face helmet. I heard of some chicks that would not get on a bike with a **** lid.

get some nice gear for yourself. when you are just starting out, a nice armored jacket can come to be useful.

 

+1 for the helmet for the girls. even though its illegal to ride w/o one here- id never get one wo one

 

frame sliders and good gear should be #1
everything after that is personal preference

 

Welcome....good pick on the F4i and color choice..If I had to go back I would have gotten the same one you have!

Raee Rails....will def save you in the long run.

But if you want something a little funner......go with the Hotbodies LED front turn signals, Puig Double Bubble Widescreen, Vortex Rear Sets, or HID Headlights (A MUST!!)

Maybe a more comfy seat for her. I am not too sure about the split seat F4i, but on the banana seat seat, my GF would slide forward a little over bumps and stuff and it kinda bothered her knee after a while, I changed the seat and she loves it.

The big thing about riding with girls is that they just want to feel you up when you ride and they want to feel safe since they are trusting you with their life, don't try and impress them with speed or anything. After they feel safe and secure, the rest is easy.
