I have an extra OEM undertail if you want I'm willing to sell it to you. Also look at pimpbike undertails, the fitment is awesome! Heres a photo of mine.

Will the new undertails have a way to mount the lock for the seat mechanism? And I'm assuming the best place to get one would be from an OEM dealer? Looks like some online dealers have the tumber, cable, etc.

 

Yes, off the shelf undertails/FE's allow for the lock/lock mechanism.

You can get the lock/locking mechanism from factory Honda, ronayers, bikebandit, servicehonda, etc.

If I can get the wiring fixed on the aftermarkey tail light, I'll see if I can fab something from aluminum. If, not, I'll just purchse a new undertail kit.

I believe the undertail kit with the little round tail lights is made by hotbodies. That's what's on my bike and the PO said it was a hotbodies. Just incase you were wondering.
