New F4I owner, fixing PO hack job

So after months of looking for an F4I, I finally found an '04 that had low mileage and was in my price range. It needs a few minor things to make it like new again, and the first problem is the rear fender. The previous owner did some sort of fender eliminator kit on it. He cut more than half of the underseat storage out, and there is no undertail anymore. So you take the seat off (which has no lock anymore, you just tug on the lock mechanism) and all you see is tail frame, tire and ground. The license plate is poorly mounted, and I have to find some new hardware to get the brake light hung correctly (which is an aftermarket LED light in what looks like the stock tailight housing).
I searched Bikbandit last night for a new storage compartment, but couldn't find it available. Is there a way to get a hold of one? And a new undertail panel and lock as well?
I'll take some pictures tonight to help explain, but any help is appreciate! My goal is to make it look clean again.

Sounds like the Competition Werkes Fender eliminator. You have to cut out a large chunk of the 'trunk', and replace it with a single piece of sheet metal.

Thanks for the response!

Looks pretty similar, but there is A LOT more material missing from the "trunk". I'll shoot some pics when I get home this afternoon.

id personally just buy a new undertail with built in lights. only like $100 on ebay.

^This

Or if you feel ambitious, you could make your own out of fiberglass or sheet metal.

Yep, cut back too far to have been a CW kit.

Cheapest solution is to buy a plastic trashcan, measure & cut out flat surface to bolt up to make an undertail. You can use sheet aluminum from HD/Lowe's as well.

Btw, you need a new rear tire.

there's an under-tail kit that has round rear back lights...but it's like $300-$400. it looks tight though. but $400 in my checking feels pretty good too.

I think just get an after market undertail from ebay your talking 100 bucks but its worth it.
