Just wanted to say hi to everyone, been cruisin this board for a couple months and decided to register. Got my CBR F4i about 3 months ago and being my first sport bike, your tips have helped greatly (especially about riding posture). Not new to motorcycles, dirt bikes before of course but my learner bike for the street was an 81 CB750 that i got with 2000 miles on the clock. Learned many do's and dont's on that. Like don't lean it over too much on the driveway or you will be picking it up, and don't crack the throttle while shifting and turning or you will be picking up the bike and yourself! Although that was a 650 lbs bike and I find it much easier to handle the CBR around the corners. Alright don't give me 40 posts about how I shouldn't drag race a 600 but that is what I like doing. I bought it to learn to drag race a sport bike. I will buy a busa one day but I plan on keeping the F4i for a daily driver. Personally I agree with the no swingarm extentions thing. I have no problem keeping the front end down anyway. Enough about me though, I look forward to reading more about what everyone has to say and should I ever run across a problem, your input as well.

Pretty sweet that you drag race. I stick to my cars, that keep their wheels on the ground no matter what. And I'm also in the 'f4i first bike' club.

Hey there Mark, congrats on the new bike. I was wondering what the heck you were doing in your avatar; now I get it, lol. Sounds like you know what your doing with all the experience you have. Best CBR site on the net, imo.
Welcome to CBRF

Congrats on buying the F4i Marc...as I'm sure you've found out by now, it's a GREAT all-around bike.
No problem with drag racing a 600,plenty of guys do it here
BTW...Your ET is almost exactly the same as mine 11.40 @ 122mph 1.87 60ft

Sweet, 11.40 is gettin it for a 600, went last weekend and only repeated my best time even after a -1 drive sprocket. The heat and humidity was a killer. I feel like I wasted my money when I left. The bike was on the truck by 5pm! Usually you have to chase me outta there @ dark

That's what it's all about, got passed by come guy on a old 900rr on the tollway yesterday after the air and water show. All I could think about when he passed and proceeded to weave back and forth across 3 lanes of heavy traffic was please don't wipe out in my lane. I don't want to be another statistic on account of some a$$hole.
