Default New to the F4i Forum

Hey guys, I have been roaming around since last year when I picked up my F4i and I thought I would finally join the forum. Last spring I picked up my 2005 F4i iron nail/silver metallic with 3500 mile on it for 3800 bucks. I wanted a bike that was quick yet comfortable for long rides and the F4i seemed to fit the bill. Not too long after I dropped the bike pulling out of my driveway on to the main road. A car came around the corner and I grabbed my front brake stupidly, my front tire happened to be on a patch of sand. This ruined the upper cowl because the blinker was ripped off, and it scraped down the side of the lower cowl. I glued the blinker mount back on with epoxy and added hot bodies flush mount blinkers. I also added 6k HID headlights. A few weeks ago I finally broke down and ordered a new OEM upper and lower cowling, that hurt the wallet quite a bit. I also ordered some for vortex frame sliders, and a new CCTL (I'm at 6500 miles and a rattle has developed). I am looking forward to using the forum as a member and not just a spectator, and I am grateful for all of the helpful threads that have been posted. Also, if anyone is in need of a damaged, but fully functional and useable upper cowl or a scratched up but not cracked lower cowl, let me know.
