Default New F4i, came lowered and need some help!

I just got this bike last night:

It came lowered and I am really not sure I like the idea of that. I have no idea if the suspension is set up good. I had a 2000 F4, at stock height and It never bothered me to ride it. I'm 5'9 145 lbs. I want to raise this bike but it was lowered with a vortex link like this:

The red arrow marks the current setting. Is this the lower of 2 settings? Or higher? 1" 2" or 3" I cannot tell. The kickstand has been cut down so until I can find both a kickstand AND a lowering link, Im stuck with this. I hope that I can go to the 2nd setting and maybe get a little more height out of it for now.

Nice bike According to the Vortex site, the difference with that lowering link's settings are 1" and 3". So regardless of which hole you use, the bike will still not be stock height. My suggestion would be to buy a stock "dog bone" suspension linkage on e-Bay, and while you're at it, sell the Vortex there as well & make a few bucks.

Yea mine came the same, buy a stock dogbone and a stock kick stand. I'm sure the kick stand was cut a bit if not then just buy a rear link/dogbone and put it in, there kind of a pita but its easily done. Make sure the forks arent lowered in the triple trees either.

bluej511 ....... you looking to get rid of it .. cause a lowered kickstand would be amazingly awesome. .. the stand I have on right now was bent to create a better lean on the bike...(that's what happens when you don't think ahead and do things on the fly) so yea,,,I want a new stand
