Default new exhaust.... no O2 sensor in mid pipe

hey guys, i just put on my new M4 exhaust last night, but there was no O2 sensor hole drilled into the mid-pipe. I was just wondering what you guys did.

I zip tied the O2 sensor off for now, but is it vital to get a hole drilled in there?

I would get ahold of who ever you bought it off of and tell them they sent you the wrong models style.

you can easily cut a hole and have someone tig weld an o2 sensor bung on...not that difficult..but a pain..yes

You can also buy a dummy plug to plug it into

disconnect your o2 sensor and install an o2 sensor eliminator from dynojet cost is only $15.00 saves you the hassle drilling into your new pipe.

Mine didn't come with one either. I went to Home Depot and got a Metric (#20?) nut. Took the nut and my stainless steel pipe and had Master Muffler drill the hold and weld the nut on. Now I have an O2 senser boss. Cost about $20. I knew about the O2 eliminator but for about the same money I'm going with what the bike came with. I sleep easier.

I'm wondering if they just don't put a hole in the mid pipe on purpose. By not having a true o2 sensor, will I suffer in gas milage or performance?

the majority of F4i's dont have an O2 sensior -- only california models. It's not used in the same way for a car, so it doesn't affect performance if you eliminate it. My yoshi exhaust didn't have the hole either, so I just installed the $15 Dyno Jet O2 sensor eliminator plug.
